Overview of Job Responsibility:
The Superintendent of Commerical Landscape Construction Services is responsible for all aspects of the landscape construction project. This responsibility will consist of Project Planning, Quality, Work Force, Technical Practices, Safety, Professionalism and Division Profitability.
Essential Functions:
The Superintendent of Construction Services will be responsible for ensuring and validating producing high rates of production, on time and on budget. Providing day to day tasks and directing Construction Foreman.
In the absence of the Superintendent of Construction Services the Construction Foreman assumes the full responsibilities of the project.

Minimum Experience: 5 to 7 years plus of verifiable employment in commercial or highway landscape construction in similar capacity. Candidate must have had responsibility for supervising multiple field crews on a daily basis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Planning
Familiar with all contract and project documents for assigned projects
Facilitate updates to the Project Schedule on a weekly basis
Facilitate all change and work orders into the field operations
Create and communicate daily/weekly production schedules and task to Construction Foreman
Maintain up to date Project Schedules for all Projects
Perform regular quality inspections to enforce job quality and compliance with job specifications and company policy
Hire and Train all field personnel on all aspects of company documentation, paper flow and critical timelines, best practices and equipment use and maintenance
Create and monitor monthly warranty costs per Project via company work authorization form and communicate to finance mgr.
Responsible for project budget and adherence to contract requirements
Work Force
Employee development to provide the company with a knowledgeable work force and to recruit competent people
Enforce company policies with respect to attendance, dress and behavior requirements -Discipline per policy
Leadership-demonstrate by example quality work and employee fairness
Perform evaluations and verbal coaching on a regular and ongoing basis
Technical Practices
Ensure equipment, material and irrigation best practices are used on the job as well as conducting field training and formal training with crews
Hold onsite organized meetings with all field crews to communicate experience and technical information
Must have ability work with Microsoft Office Suite of software (Project, Excel, Word) and company email via Microsoft Outlook.
Must have signifcant plant and tree knowledge
Safety
Provide and maintain safe physical conditions; ie, place to work, safe vehicles and equipment safety
Professionalism
Public Relations- Meet with customers on regular basis to provide and obtain critical project information. This position is the primary interface with all customers
Schedule project walkthroughs with customers for completion of projects and documentation approvals
Promote positive image to field personnel as well as customer interactions and events
Participation in industry related educational and social events
Profitability
Determine job efficiencies and potential revenue opportunities for each project before pre construction meetings with Construction Foreman
Schedule project effectively to ensure that profitability metrics are met monthly
Monitor and submit cost effective purchases and timing of materials and equipment related to field projects
Identify all additional work opportunities that require work order execution and bring to conclusion
Conduct monthly billing meetings and ensure accurate billings
Responsible for project budgets and adherence to contract requirements
