We have just finished building a 60' retaining wall with two streams, waterfall, and pond. All the heavy work is done, but it needs the artistic touch to be complete.
Looking for a landscape architect with prior experience with pond/waterfalls/etc. Please provide pictures of past projects and references. Project will consist of an hour+ to give ideas and examples to complete the project. Depending on the individual, there may be a follow-up visit. We are a midsize national Planning and Landscape Architectural firm seeking to immediately hire an experienced Landscape Architect. Applicants should have between 3 & 7 years of professional experience. Less experienced applicants will be considered if their experience is unusually broad or comprehensive. The position is one that will be directed and managed by a Principal and/or Senior Landscape Architect.
Current projects include both local and international projects. The experience and ability to research and analyze out of State regulations including landscape, signage and construction standards and ordinances would be beneficial.
The position involves hands on design, design development and construction documents for residential, commercial and some public sector projects. A working familiarity of a range of residential and commercial products is important. Plant and soils knowledge as well as slope design is important. Because of the diversity of project locations, the broader the knowledge the better.
Due to the unique type of some projects, other forms of project analysis are provided to our Clients including the evaluation of the ?life cost? of the design components. A working knowledge of sustainable materials and construction methods is also desired. Large scale irrigation analysis and the production of Irrigation Master Plans is sometimes a part of our projects.
Current projects have ?tight? schedules but we will not compromise quality for schedule. We try very hard to avoid overtime as family time is important to us but as most in the service industry must, working some overtime is unavoidable.
Landscape Architectural deliverables are produced in Autocad, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, Filemaker Pro, Word and Excel. It is important that applicants be competent in these programs. Hand graphics is also needed in the early stages of the plan development.
