Spray Applications Technician (Remote)

  • Applying chemicals:

    Spray technicians use various methods like sprays, dusts, vapors, or soil incorporation to apply chemicals. 

  • Equipment operation:

    They operate and maintain sprayers, spreaders, and other equipment needed for chemical application. 

  • Safety and regulations:

    They must follow safety procedures, manage chemical storage, and comply with local and federal regulations. 

  • Inventory management:

    They manage the inventory of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides. 

  • Inspection and monitoring:

    They inspect turf, plants, and other areas to identify pest or disease issues and determine the need for chemical treatment. 

  • Record keeping:

    They maintain accurate records of chemical applications and equipment maintenance. 

  • Qualifications:

  • Licensure and certification: 3A and 3B. 
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred. 
  • Experience: Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping can be beneficial. 
  • Safety knowledge: Knowledge of OSHA standards and first-aid training can be an asset.
