Stuart Dean is seeking skilled individuals for a Metal Foreman position as well as Technicians/Helpers with or without experience in its Seattle location. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with several years of relevant experience looking for a chance to build a career in a growing company.
Foreman Level:
Responsibilities include:

Conducts the layout, set up, preparation, and production of all office metal work

Assesses and delivers quality workmanship in the delivery of our metal services

Directs the work of other metal Technicians and conducts necessary skills training
-
Reports deviations and inaccuracies in the work and concerns and conditions of the job site to the Supervisor
-
Responsible for the acquisition of supplies and materials to complete the assigned work and communicates same to the Manager
-
Responsible for ensuring the proper working order and cleanliness of Company vehicles and equipment used to perform the work
-
Employs methods and processes that eliminate waste
-
Leads safety meetings and “toolbox talks”
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in metal restoration
-
Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role strongly preferred
-
Must have demonstrated organizational and production skills
-
Must have demonstrated above-average skills in all types of metal
-
Must be proficient in repairing metal surfaces
-
Needs to be experienced in all types of impregnators, and coatings
-
Must be able to read, write and speak English
-
Must be able to direct projects and Technicians
-
Basic computer skills would be a plus but not required
-
Must be able to understand and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
-
Must be thorough, detailed, and conscientious with the execution of the work
-
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Must be able to climb ladders, operate machinery and work on scaffolding (including heights) when needed
-
Experience working with aerial equipment (swing stage; aerial lifts)
-
Must be willing to travel when required for jobs outside the Seattle area
Technician/Helper:
-
2 years or more of hands-on experience refinishing/restoring metal; however, we will train if no experience.

The indivikdual is expected to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled physical tasks following established procedures and processes as assigned and as directed by a Foreman or Supervisor.

Expected to clean, prepare, refinish, and restore metal surfaces in a safe and efficient manner. This includes stripping, polishing, removing scratches, and with attention to grain, surface textures, and unique qualities of various metals.

Must hold a valid Driver’s License and be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
-
Bi-lingual skills in Spanish are a plus.

Work is physical in nature and much of the work is performed at night and early morning hours.
