Shady Canyon Golf Club is one of the premier clubs in Southern California, located in Irvine. Tom Fazio designed a challenging golf course laid out over 300 acres in a natural setting. The course was established in 2002, and shortly thereafter received Audubon certification. Shady Canyon is a private club offering Golf and Social memberships. Member dining is available six days a week. Members can choose to dine in the Talon Room and Bar, Men's Grill or Ladies' Grill. We also offer a Golf Snack Bar and a seasonal Pool Snack Bar. Shady Canyon Golf Club is currently looking for a Full Time Greenkeeper I. Basic job duties include, but are not limited to: operation of light motorized equipment to maintain the golf course and landscape surroundings.

• Walk mowing greens and hand raking bunkers.
• Operate rotary push mower and string line trimmer around bunker and green and tee surrounds.
• Walk mow tees and aprons.
• Set up tee marker positions, divot repair, maintain debris in fairways using pull behind blower.
• Landscape pruning, weed and debris removal throughout property
• Hand watering
• Assist in plant material installation and care
• Clean equipment, shop interior and exterior cleaning
• Assist in renovation projects
• Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the company as requested by the supervisor

Requirements:

•  Previous golf course maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance landscape tools helpful.
• Possession of a valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Must be able to safely utilize hand tools and landscaping equipment.
• Able to lift and carry 50 pounds and be willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Prior landscaping or golf course maintenance work experience is preferred.
