OverviewWe are looking for a someone who loves to work outdoors, who is highly motivated, and detail oriented to join our team as a Golf Course Superintendent! In this role, you will play a key part in creating a world-class golf experience for our guests! You will direct a team to perform routine labor involved in golf course maintenance and construction, and related work. The Superintendent works closely with the General Manager on capital improvement expansion projects, as well as interaction with the Head Golf Professional to maximize the number of rounds of golf played by scheduling maintenance practices around Guest/Member play and outings to maximize efficiency.

Your role:
- You will provide agronomic direction to maintain the golf course at the highest quality possible at all times
- You will set process in place to maintain healthy growth of the golf course grasses, trees, wetlands, and other applicable plant materials
- You will design programs for turf/grass, material and chemical maintenance, and asset management are critical to the success of this role
- You will prepare an annual budget and achieves these financial goals throughout the year, through proper forecasting, expense controls and labor management
- You will be responsible for hiring, training, and developing all staff
- You will be comfortable in operating powered equipment in mowing specified golf course areas including putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and resort ground turf areas.
- You will maintain oversight and schedules for the watering and fertilizing of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and any other related turf areas.
- You will schedule routine bunker maintenance and/or bunker renovation.
- You will have strong knowledge of and support irrigation maintenance
- You will be knowledgeable and experienced in the operations of mechanical loaders in moving soil, debris, and other materials.
- Support other departments as needed and as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
- Someone with advanced training and knowledge in agronomy or golf course maintenance is preferred
- Someone with 3-5 years previous experience in an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent role preferred
- Someone who has the ability to acquire State Commercial Applicator license in Ornamental and Turf within six months of employment.
- Someone with a GCSAA/PBGCSA membership preferred
- Someone with an engaging and welcoming personality
- Someone with a strong attention to detail
- Someone who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Someone with a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
