High school diploma or equivalent and Two (2) years of related experience.

Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of sprinkler and irrigation systems. Knowledge of applicable safety procedures. Skills in operating light equipment including backhoe, forklift, tractors, ditch witch and scissor lift. Ability to withstand heights of 35 feet. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to withstand exposure to external weather conditions and airborne particles and to work with or around moving mechanical parts and chemicals. Ability to plan, organize and schedule work.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and supervises the removal of leaves, grass, dirt, rubbish, and refuse from the grounds.
  • Participates and assists in planning the cultivation, pruning, spraying, and planting of grass shrubs, and trees.
  • Coordinates equipment operations and maintains control over tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assists in the removal and storage of radioactive waste under the supervision of a safety officer.
  • Ensures proper care and operation of equipment; promotes continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Maintains records and completes applicable reports.
  • Utilizes pressure washer to maintain cleanliness of buildings, sidewalks, trash compactor rooms and other surfaces.
