The starting pay for this position is $15.00/hr. After successful completion ofa one-year trial period with OTRD, the rate of pay may increase to $15.45/hr.

Basic PurposePositions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving landscaping, tree and lawn care and/or greenhouse work.
Typical FunctionsAssists in maintaining golf course property, including turf, landscaping, irrigation systems, and clubhouse grounds.
Maintains open communication with the golf course and park operations team regarding activities and scheduling.
Inspects the golf course and associated facilities and may perform play-through evaluations to assess course conditions.
Assists in execution of maintenance and project work based on agronomic principles.
Treats turf and plant health issues and supports pest management efforts.
Ensures proper use, maintenance, and availability of equipment and materials.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This is the career level of this job family where employees are assigned responsibilities for performing a full range of duties in the care and maintenance of lawns and grounds on state owned or leased property and the supervision, as a working leader, of crews engaged in performing various landscaping and other activities related to installing and maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs and trees.
Minimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to perform tasks that involve regular bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Must possess a valid Driver's License.
