Manage all aspects of groundskeeping, including planting, pruning, irrigation, and seasonal care, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. Transition the properties from reliance on external landscaping teams to a fully in-house operation, optimizing efficiency and design coherence. Collaborate with the property owner to integrate art installations or sculptural elements into the landscape, ensuring seamless harmony between natural and artistic features. Supervise and coordinate any necessary contractors or support staff, ensuring all work aligns with the properties' aesthetic and functional goals. Monitor and maintain landscape health, addressing issues such as pest control, soil quality, and irrigation systems with sustainable practices. Provide regular updates and recommendations to the property owner on landscape improvements and long-term planning. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in landscape architecture, landscape design, or high-end estate landscape management. Proven expertise in minimalistic landscape design, with a portfolio showcasing sophisticated, elegant projects. Background in museum landscapes, art-integrated landscape design, or similar high-caliber aesthetic environments is highly desirable. Deep knowledge of plant species and horticultural practices suitable for the diverse climates of Cold Spring, Greenwich Village, and Atlantic Beach, NY. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple properties and priorities effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with property owners, staff, and contractors. Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain meticulous attention to detail. Valid U.S. work authorization. Valid driver's license required. International experience or exposure to European landscape design principles is a plus but not required. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Live-in accommodations provided at one of the estate properties. Opportunity to work on prestigious, high-profile estates with a focus on artistic and minimalistic landscape design. Housing and a work car are provided. Application Process: To apply, please submit your resume, a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and design philosophy, and a portfolio showcasing your landscape design or management work. We are eager to review your qualifications and discuss how your vision aligns with the aesthetic of these exceptional properties.
