Position overview: Responsible for the overall landscaping and sanitation maintenance of the facility
Duties, responsibilities and requirements:
Overseeing the lawns and other outdoor areas of facility: Mow, trim, rake leaves
Trim and prune small trees, shrubs, and vegetation, and maintain the irrigation system
Pest control fumigation, fogging, and cracks and crevices applications.
Ensure the plant is clean and ready for an inspection at any time.
Install and/or maintain sprinkler and irrigation systems.
Groundskeeping including, but not limited to, fence line, right-away, ditches, and rail spur.
Clean lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors
Clean common, office areas and production equipment when needed
Keep inventory of all department supplies and pesticides, and reorder as necessary.
Comply with all Facility, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety Procedures.
Comply with Injury Illness Prevention Program, Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs.
Follow all relevant Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure all job duties are understood.
Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to ensure the appropriate action is taken.
Sit/Stand/Walk: The majority of time is spent standing and or walking around the work area.
Speaking/Hearing: Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
Vision: Able to effectively interpret printed materials and differentiate various products packed.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and hold up to 50 lbs.
Stooping/Kneeling: Ability to access equipment and supplies.
Reaching/Handling: Able to retrieve and work with appropriate equipment and supplies.
Must have knowledge and experience operating forklift, skid steer, boom and scissor lift.
Obtain and maintain a QAL or QAC license (at company expense while employed with SWM ) preferred.
Physical Work Environment:
Must be able to work at heights with the use of fall protection.
May require working in confined spaces.
Involves working with irritants such as dust and rice by-products.
May involve exposure to excessive noise, with hearing protection provided.
May involve exposure to food-grade chemicals.
Must be able to wear a full-face respirator.
Work area is in an environment with varied moderate temperatures and areas of excessive noise
