We design luxury, private resorts for homeowners around the world and we are looking for an Entry Level Draftsmen (Project Assistant) to join our Team. SUMMARY OF POSITION: As a Project Assistant at Foxterra Design your responsibility is to assist the team in the development of project drawings and site plans in AutoCAD as well as models in Structure Studios. We are looking for a team player that is also able to demonstrate strong independent skills. You will collaborate in a Team environment via Slack and Zoom as well as in our home office located in Santa Ana. This role supports the design and documentation process for landscape architecture projects by ensuring communication is clear, documentation is accurate, and deliverables are assembled efficiently. This role provides a foundation for future growth within the firm and is essential to the successful execution of high-quality projects. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture, or a related field, from an accredited university. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required and bonus points if knowledgeable in any or all of the following: Adobe Suite, Lumion, Sketchup, and Structure Studios. Local to Orange County CA Strong communication and listening skills AutoCAD proficiency Graphics proficiency is a plus (3D modeling, Structure Studios, BIM Software, Rhino, Sketchup, Lumion) Design process familiarity Adobe Creative Suite proficiency is a plus Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture, or a related field, from an accredited university MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Communicate consistently with project team regarding timelines, project updates, and deliverables. Coordinate with the design team to understand project goals, milestones, and next steps. Document and communicate relevant local agency requirements, site data, and restrictions as directed. Accurately draft and develop base models, site plans, and bid sets using AutoCAD and/or other relevant software platforms. Assess priorities to manage time effectively across multiple projects and meet deadlines.
