Groundskeeper

Job Summary:

The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the outdoor areas of a property, such as gardens, lawns, and grounds. The ideal candidate will ensure that the grounds are attractive, clean, and well-maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform general landscaping tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, and watering.

2. Plant, maintain, and remove flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants as needed.

3. Keep outdoor areas free of debris, litter, and leaves.

4. Monitor and report any issues related to plant health or irrigation systems.

5. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.

6. Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months.

7. Work cooperatively with the property management team to ensure all outdoor areas meet established standards.

8. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Proven experience in landscaping or groundskeeping.

3. Knowledge of proper planting techniques, horticulture, and irrigation systems.

4. Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers.

5. Basic understanding of plant care and maintenance.

6. Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

7. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a well-kept appearance of the grounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification in landscaping or horticulture.

2. Experience with snow removal and salting procedures.

3. Proficiency in operating small machinery and power tools.

4. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
