We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join the team in Columbus, OH. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands sprinkler systems and codes and enjoys collaborating across departments on essential fire safety projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Create project drawings, specs, and schematics for sprinkler system installations
Ensure designs comply with NFPA codes and local regulations
Collaborate with Project Managers and Sales to verify project requirements
Layout sprinkler components and devices
Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and coworkers
Adhere to company safety policies and a commitment to continuous learning
Requirements:
2+ years of experience with CAD-based fire sprinkler design
Familiarity with HydraCAD, Hydracalc, or Hydralist
Solid understanding of sprinkler systems and code requirements
Ability to pass drug and background screenings
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Eligible to meet state licensing and/or vendor certification standards
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of REVIT and X-REFs
NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems
Additional Details:
Physical demands include prolonged sitting, standard office equipment use, and regular verbal communication
New hires must complete I-9 and pass E-Verify, background checks, and a substance abuse screening
