at Wasco Nursery, Inc. in Saint Charles, Illinois, United States Job Description Wasco Nursery, Inc. dba Wasco Nursery and Garden Center seeks 5 Nursery & Tree Farm Foreman -- needed for permanent, full-time employment. Job Duties: Supervise and coordinate daily tasks of Nursery and tree farm workers, including planting, watering, pruning, spraying, tagging, fertilizing, weeding, transplanting and sorting plants, shrubs and trees grown in our Nursery and on our tree farm. Train workers on proper nursery procedures, equipment utilization, set work schedules and track hours. Supervise digging, loading and securing trees for transportation and schedule and supervise delivery. Monitor and adjust greenhouse conditions, including irrigation systems, soil conditions, pest control etc., and resolve any issues. Take inventory and purchase needed supplies and tools. During the Winter months, supervise workers in the planting, watering, transplanting, thinning, digging of plants, and pruning. Will also burlap roots and mulch; propagate plants from cuttings; monitor and adjust watering schedules and nursery conditions and resolve issues. The employer will provide on-the-job training. The employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge. Requirements: 24 months' nursery and/or tree farm worker experience. Must speak Spanish in order to sufficiently supervise H2B workers. Wages/Terms: $32.03/hr., and $48.05/hr. for OT. 40 hours per week.
