Expected Results and Achievements
- Operate loader to transfer materials from yard to aggregate storage bins (maintain stockpiles), materials from bins to hopper, materials from bins to haul trucks, etc.
- Collect aggregate tickets and submit to batch office daily
- Perform routine maintenance including machine cleanliness, daily service inspection, fueling, greasing, cleaning bins and washout ponds (if applicable). Additional maintenance activities as required
- Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties
- Includes cleanliness and upkeep of yard area and bin room areas
- Follow proper company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations including OSHA safety and quality standards
- Report safety hazards and create safety first culture
- Participate in safety meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to maintain proper attendance while working irregular hours, including scheduled Saturdays
- Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
- Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams
Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
Education and Experience
- Related industry experience a plus
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Travel Requirement
- Only as needed
Rate or Range: $28.75 and up
