Ecological Landscape Architect/Designer and Sales Manager The purpose of this position is to generate profitable proposals for work and supervise all sales activities in the Design, Landscape and Gardening Departments. Job Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of Design, Landscape and Gardening Sales. Build and train a high-performance team and supportive culture, directly managing Salespersons and Designers. Provide excellent customer service to clients through the Design, Sales and Estimating Processes. Apply extensive knowledge of ecological landscapes, planting, and construction techniques to designs and estimates. Assist with project management and client communication for jobs under contract. Troubleshoot daily sales issues, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of services and maximizing profitability. Investigate and resolve customer complaints or concerns to the satisfaction of the client while protecting the company as it relates to sales and/or design. Inspect Design and Sales Processes, monitor quality and client communication, and develop plans for any necessary corrective action. Lead weekly Sales Meetings, attend inter-departmental and other meetings, and contribute to topics at hand. Manages sales and design budgets and quarterly/annual sales goals; review, assist and holds staff and self accountable to meet sales/design budgets and goals. Coordinates with other departments within the organization to ensure that company needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Reviews won/lost contracts and analyze job profitability to implement/train change Processes, as warranted. Develop and manage design, sales and estimating training programs for staff using relevant Core Processes. Suggests updates for streamlining Core Processes as necessary; trains to new systems Assists with Estimating including pricing and contract language to protect client and company Evaluate/authorize any adjustments to pricing including profit margin and/or markup Actively seek and participate in networking and business development in the interest of generating future business Keeps up to date on industry trends and best practices, implementing new techniques as appropriate. Identifies and proposes new target markets. Other duties as required or assigned. Compensation package- Salary plus commission
