Groundskeeper

We're looking for a hardworking, dependable person to take care of the gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas of a private estate. You'll be responsible for keeping the property looking proudly cared for, safe, and well-maintained all year round. You should have experience working on private homes, estates, or similar properties. We need someone who pays attention to detail, takes pride in their work, and knows their way around landscaping and plant care. Being reliable, respectful, and professional is a must. Responsibilities: Keep the entire property looking clean, neat, and in top shape all year round Handle seasonal planting, soil prep, fertilizing, mulching, and keeping bugs and plant diseases under control Use of landscaping tools and machines like mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, hedge cutters, and small tractors Keep an eye on the sprinkler/irrigation systems and fix small issues when needed Trim, prune, and shape trees and bushes the right way Make sure all walkways, driveways, patios, water features, and outdoor areas are safe, clean, and well-kept Quickly clean up leaves, branches, and other yard debris Help get the property ready for parties or special events, including setting up temporary decorations or features Work closely with other estate staff to keep everything running smoothly Let the Lead Facilities Manager know right away if something's broken, unsafe, or not working right What We're Looking For: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in landscaping, estate gardening, or groundskeeping (working on private estates or high-end properties is a plus) Strong knowledge of plants, trees, and how to take care of outdoor spaces in a way that lasts Comfortable using and maintaining lawn and garden tools and equipment safely Basic know-how with sprinkler systems and outdoor lighting Physically fit and able to work outside in all kinds of weather; must be able to lift and move heavy stuff when needed Trustworthy, respectful, and professional at all times Willing to go through a background check if hired Handy with small repairs or basic carpentry, especially when it comes to outdoor furniture or features Works well with others and thrives in a collaborative environment Takes ownership of their responsibilities and delivers work they're proud of Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential, as daily communication with a diverse team will require both languages Schedule and Availability: Standard schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Flexibility required for occasional weekend work, evening hours, or inclement weather response Additional hours may be necessary during seasonal peaks or special estate events
