QUESTIONS
Job Description
Are you a hard-working person who loves to get your hands a little dirty? Would you like to help state agencies appear professional, clean, and safe to customers and employees by maintaining grounds and landscaping? Join our team!
The pay range advertised is the full range of the job. New employees will probably start between $19 and $21, or possibly higher depending on qualifications. DHRM rules will apply for promotions and transfers of current state employees.
Why You Should Join Our Team
What's better than working outside in the sun and fresh air? Not much, we believe! State agencies and government buildings depend on us to keep their grounds clean, safe, and beautiful and we take pride in delivering! We enjoy a culture focused on excellence that rewards and provides employees with:
Benefits Package: Our benefits package offers medical, dental, vision and life insurance options - some with no bi-weekly premiums - along with paid vacations, sick leave, and holidays. Our retirement options include 401(k) contributions and matches, and even a pension! There are also a variety of other benefits you can take advantage of, such as Short-Term Disability, discounted home and auto insurance, discounted legal plans, and more! Click here for the details.
Work/Life Balance: A 4 10s schedule means you have an extra day off each week to volunteer in your child's classroom, go skiing or fishing, play more video games, or just hang out with your family and friends. Unfortunately, we sometimes have to work weekends to clean up after snow storms and other events, but we make it as minimal as possible.
Development and Support: Have you always wanted your Master Gardener certification? We can help! Do you want to go back to school but need help with tuition? We can reimburse it! We'll help develop your skills and leadership abilities because engaged, successful employees make the State better too!
Feedback: Wonder how you're doing? We'll tell you. Curious about your career options? Let's chat! We believe that feedback and coaching are important priorities that help you do your best work. Performance reviews sometimes come with a bonus, so if you like extra cash or time off, this could be the place for you!
