SUMMARY
Incumbents perform journey-level activities related to equipment operations, plant maintenance, turf cultivation and maintenance, irrigation, fertilization, and horticulture. Incumbents operate and train others in the use of equipment and machinery, and perform quality control activities. Incumbents also ensure Major League baseball specifications are met. Incumbents perform as lead workers, providing daily work assignments and reviewing completed work, acting as resources to other workers, and tracking equipment and inventory. Depending on assignment, incumbents may be required to work evenings, holidays, and weekends to support events and tournaments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED, and three years of directly-related maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License. Pesticide/herbicide applicator license is required within 10 months of hire.
