JOB SUMMARY: Krause Landscape Contractors is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Landscape Designer & Estimator to join our team and help bring our clients visions to life. The Landscape Designer & Estimator will be responsible for developing innovative landscape designs, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting project management from concept through completion. This role requires a blend of creative design skills, technical knowledge, and strong organizational abilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Landscape Design
- Create conceptual and detailed landscape designs for high-end residential and commercial properties
- Develop site plans, planting plans, hardscape layouts, and lighting designs using CAD and design software
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams to refine design concepts
- Conduct site visits and assessments to inform design decisions
- Prepare presentation materials and design boards for client meetings
Estimating
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for landscape construction projects
- Analyze plans and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain and update pricing databases and cost tracking systems
- Ensure estimates align with project budgets and client expectations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in landscape design and estimating, preferably in high-end markets
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of landscape construction methods and materials
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
