JOB SUMMARY: Krause Landscape Contractors is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Landscape Designer & Estimator to join our team and help bring our clients visions to life. The Landscape Designer & Estimator will be responsible for developing innovative landscape designs, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting project management from concept through completion. This role requires a blend of creative design skills, technical knowledge, and strong organizational abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Landscape Design

• Create conceptual and detailed landscape designs for high-end residential and commercial properties
• Develop site plans, planting plans, hardscape layouts, and lighting designs using CAD and design software
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams to refine design concepts
• Conduct site visits and assessments to inform design decisions
• Prepare presentation materials and design boards for client meetings

Estimating

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for landscape construction projects
• Analyze plans and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain and update pricing databases and cost tracking systems
• Ensure estimates align with project budgets and client expectations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in landscape design and estimating, preferably in high-end markets
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of landscape construction methods and materials
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
