Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Worker I - Part Time.

This posting is to fill one vacancy that requires weekend availability. This position is part-time, non-benefited, working between 20-26 hours per week.

The Grounds Maintenance Worker reports to the Grounds Maintenance III, depending on assignment. The primary job duties of this position include:

- Performs turf maintenance cultural practices utilizing motorized equipment.

- Performs mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, cultivation, fertilization, watering and pruning operations

- Performs general landscape and cleanup duties, including trash and debris removal, graffiti removal and litter pickup.

About You

At Team Gilbert, we hire outcome-oriented problem-solvers who love what they do! Here are some position requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).

- Six months previous experience and/or training in grounds maintenance, athletic field maintenance, irrigation system maintenance, equipment operation, and manual labor.

- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

- Valid Arizona Driver's License

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and skills in the following areas:

- Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, codes, regulations and/or ordinances

- Skill in equipment operation including multi and single deck mowers, utility vehicles, tractors and attachments including aerators, gannons, top dresser, vacuum, rotiller, etc.

- Skill in power tool operation including chainsaw, pole saw, stump grinder, auger, jackhammer, hedge trimmer, etc.

- Skill in cleaning and maintenance of facilities

- Skill in working in a team environment and have customer service skills

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.
