Spray Technician - PHX MB

Job Description:

- Schedules and performs weed control and fertilization procedures; organizes and prioritizes weed control inspections, maintenance, and responses.

- Operates light to heavy vehicles and tools in the application of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, and fertilizers, e.g., trucks, sprayers, and spreaders.

- Utilize various hand-held manual sprayers.

- Applies chemicals and fertilizers as needed in accordance with prescribed use and in accordance with accepted industry practices, and rules and requirements of various federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. EPA, Dept of AG, etc.

- Maintains cleanliness of facilities and equipment. Maintains the inventory of materials.

- Maintains accurate records of chemical and biological agents used.

- Evaluates and prepares cost estimates for various projects.

- Prepares and mixes chemical agents used in the trade.

- Ensures the safe and appropriate use of various chemicals and products, mixing according to label instructions and product specs while in accordance with prescribed safety directions.

- Ensures the safe and lawful disposal of waste and hazardous materials.

- Inspects completed work.

- Obtains written quotes in the procurement of parts, materials, and equipment.

- Responsible for ensuring all work and activities are performed safely in accordance with company policies.

- Must function in harsh weather conditions and can perform mitigation efforts in emergencies.
