General Groundskeeper

H2O Innovation provides public works management services & operations assistance for water & wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations, and businesses across North America. H2O is currently seeking a General Groundskeeper to join our team in Harrison County, Mississippi.

• Pay ranges from $15-$17 for those with relevant experience, and $18-$20 for advanced experience and/or certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Mow grass and maintain wastewater facilities, lift stations and offices.
• Operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers and other ground maintenance equipment.
• Perform edging, trimming, pruning and general landscaping duties.
• Assist with planting, removing and maintaining trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Pick up and dispose of litter and debris from wastewater facilities and lift stations.
• Assist with maintenance and cleaning of wastewater facility buildings and offices.
• Assist other maintenance departments when needed.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are accounted for, maintained and kept in proper working conditions.
• Ensure all work assignments are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of operating characteristics of assigned equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of work hazards and appropriate safety precautions.

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including department rules, policies and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers and the public.
• Ability to interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.
