Job highlights

A Senior leadership role responsible for the daily execution of landscaping projects, managing field crews, and ensuring operational profitability. They act as the primary link between sales teams and field execution, focusing on scheduling, quality control, and resource management

Qualifications/Responsibilities

As our Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing crews, scheduling projects, ensuring quality standards, coordinating materials, and maintaining client relationships

Minimum 5 years experience in landscaping construction

Proficient in MS Office applications

Effective communication, ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

Strong organizational abilities to plan, schedule, and execute projects on time and within budget

Schedule materials to the jobsite and/or our yard for jobs. (plant material is procured by our in house plant purchaser and is onsite in our holding yard)

Collaborate weekly with Sales Team on upcoming projects and capacity planning

Manages daily and weekly production schedules, adjusting for weather, site readiness, and client deadlines.

Proactively manage sequencing, expectations, and upcoming workloads

Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive client relationships

In-depth understanding of plant / turf species, their care requirements, and seasonal needs

Ensure crews understand project scopes and expectations

Maintain quality control on all projects

Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement

Visit active job sites daily to monitor progress, quality, and safety

Identify and resolve field issues quickly and effectively

Ensure proper job site setup, organization, and cleanliness

Manage and lead field employees and subcontractors

Assign daily work orders for crews and monitor crew productivity

Provide training and guidance to crew members

Address performance issues and maintain accountability

Promote a positive and professional work environment

Ensure crews, equipment, and materials are properly allocated

Monitor project timelines and adjust plans as necessary

Tracks project costs and labor efficiency

Maintain proper use and care of tools and equipment

Assist with organization of company yard, trucks, trailers, and equipment

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards

Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and customer expectations

Identify and correct issues before project completion

Ensure crews follow OSHA and company safety guidelines

Maintain clear communication with the office and leadership team

Provide daily updates on job progress and field conditions

Communicate project needs, delays, or issues promptly

Monday through Friday minimum 45 hours per week

Typical start time between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM to 4 to 430 pm

Due to the nature of construction and landscaping operations, this role may require assisting with additional duties as needed to support company operations
