Grounds Maintenance Summer Worker - PT/Hourly, Operations/Maintenance

Salary: $14.40/hr - no benefits

This is a temporary position for Summer, 2026.

Essential Duties:

Grass cutting, edging, blowing, trimming, pruning, pine straw application, athletic field maintenance, playground equipment maintenance, moving services, fence maintenance, pressure washing, material handling, and more.

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions/directions.

• Ability to operate lawn maintenance equipment properly and safely.

• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

• Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and crawling.

• Ability perform routine physical activities including, but not limited to: repetitive motion, bending, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with assistance.

• Environmental conditions include, but are not limited to: moderate to loud noise levels, exposure to weather conditions including rain, hot and cold temperatures, dust, and dirt.

This position is not a full-time job. It is an "on-call" as needed basis only, and you are not guaranteed any number of days of employment. Temporary workers are not eligible to draw unemployment wages. [Campbell v. Poythress, 216 Georgia Appeals 834 (1995)].
