Personal Residence Gardener

Personal Residence Gardener (Edina) compensation: $25 per hour We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate gardener to maintain and manage a diverse range of plants in a personal residence. This position requires both a broad knowledge of lawns, trees, and flowers, as well as hands-on practical experience in all areas of lawn and garden maintenance. **Responsibilities** 1. Garden Planning and design: You will be responsible for deciding what types of plants and flowers to grow depending on the specific tastes and preferences of the homeowners 2. Location Analysis: You will assess the garden area to identify the best spots for planting, taking into account the levels of sunlight and shade available 3. Ground Preparation: You will handle the process of ground clearance, weed removal, and soil preparation, employing efficient techniques like lasagna gardening 4. Soil Management: Performing soil tests to identify its nutrient content, and amending the soil as required 5. Plant Care: Planting, watering, pruning, and fertilizing plants in an efficient and effective way 6. Garden Layout: Ability to organize and layout the garden in an aesthetically pleasing manner, with a keen eye for details 7. Additional tasks may include mowing, trimming, mulch, racking, spring/fall clean up. **Qualifications** - Proven experience in gardening. - Broad knowledge of plant species and their specific care requirements. - Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and operating gardening equipment. - Strong understanding of effective and safe use of fertilizers and gardening chemicals. - Must be able to work independently with little oversight or guidance. - Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
