Parks Maintenance Seasonal Laborers

Job Summary:Under the direction of the Parks Foreman, assists with parks maintenance needsincluding the upkeep of facilities and properties managed by the Parks Divisionto include maintenance, landscaping, and sports field management. Must beavailable for occasional evening and weekend shifts during peak season andspecial events.

Major Responsibilities:

• Under management direction, performs lawn maintenance.
• Picks up trash, and empties trash receptacles.
• Performs other duties as assigned relevant to the maintenance of CityParks and Recreationalareas.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge:

• 16 years or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to operate tools relevant to lawn maintenance.
• Understanding of relevant city, state, and federal laws, regulations, andpolicies
• Understanding of turf grass maintenance and care.
• Skill in the operation of a riding lawnmower and other small engineequipment
• Skill in the operation of turf grass equipment.
