Ground Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, and experienced Ground Maintenance Manager to lead our landscaping and grounds maintenance operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in managing crews, overseeing contracts, controlling costs, and ensuring high-quality outdoor maintenance services.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in grounds maintenance, landscaping operations, budgeting, and contract management.

Responsibilities

Oversee all landscaping and grounds maintenance operations

Lead and supervise crews performing mowing, irrigation, shrub trimming, and outdoor maintenance

Ensure lawns, gardens, parks, and display plants remain healthy and visually appealing

Manage existing maintenance contracts while securing new business opportunities

Maintain profitability by keeping contracts on budget

Oversee all equipment, tools, and supply inventory

Develop and maintain effective cost-control systems

Coordinate maintenance schedules and daily operations

Estimate future projects and maintenance jobs

Ensure all operations comply with company policies and OSHA standards

Handle forecasting, ordering, and price negotiations for spare parts and inventory

Develop proactive maintenance strategies to improve efficiency

Coordinate complex repairs and specialized maintenance work

Hire and oversee subcontractors as needed

Identify innovative tools, methods, and assets to improve productivity and reduce costs

Prepare and maintain maintenance and operational reports
