A Project Designer must also have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the fields of civil engineering and landscape architecture.ResponsibilitiesDevelop construction documents for site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Construction documents sets include site plan, grading and drainage, utility, erosion control, plan sheets and applicable detailsCoordinate with the project team to develop and complete projects on time and on budgetComplete plan review comments from internal quality control process and from the city review processAssist the Project Engineer and Landscape Architects, and Project Managers in completing technical specificationsPrepare written communications, applications, and reportsReview and implement municipal zoning ordinances, geotechnical reports, as well as state and federal codes to ensure project complianceWork in partnership with Project Managers and staff to identify opportunities and constraints for development sites, assist in municipal meetings and submittals, and complete plan revisions as needed to obtain project approvalPrepare for, attend and may lead meetings with internal and external clientsQualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Landscape ArchitectureKnowledge of regulations, policies, and proceduresThorough understanding of site planning and land developmentAutoCAD, Civil 3D, 3D modeling including grading plansKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of engineering and landscape architectureExercising independent judgmentInitiativeCreativityProblem Solving and Critical Thinking skillsTime Management and PlanningStrong communication, writing, technical and analytical skillsMicrosoft Office Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the companys driving (MVR) policy.
