PART TIME LABORER- WENTZ GOLF COURSE

DEFINITION

Learn and implement quality maintenance techniques to ensure fine turf.; includes mowing, trimming, digging, landscaping and other related duties.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Receives direction from Wentz staff.

ESSENTIAL AND MARGINAL FUNCTION STATEMENTS - Essential and marginal responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Functions:

1. Respect golfers.

2. Mow, weed eat, trim, rake, dig, landscape and other golf related functions.

3. Show up for work on time and ready to work.

4. Must pay attention to detail.

5. Must have acceptable attendance and work well with people.

6. Any specific requirements that are stated in the "offer of employment letter".

Marginal Functions:

1. Learn to operate various turf mowers and vehicles.

2. Set water sprinklers (hot dry months).

3. Learn to set a golf course up for play.

4. Wash, wax and care for equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

1. Prefer experience in turf landscaping or related field.

Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Self-motivated with a desire to learn.

2. Must pay attention to detail and follow directions accordingly.

Experience and Training Guidelines:

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Environmental Conditions:

Shop environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, and gases.

Outside golf course environment.

Physical Conditions:

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, kneeling or standing for prolonged periods of time; light to moderate lifting; and operating motorized equipment and vehicles.

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:

A driver's license may be required.
