Position summary:
The YMCA is looking for a dependable, hardworking groundskeeper / camp support staff member to help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all campers, families, and staff. Reporting to the Camp Director, this role is essential in supporting the overall camp experience by maintaining outdoor spaces, cleaning facilities, and assisting with general upkeep and odd jobs around camp.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize camp bathrooms daily
- Blow off patios, sidewalks, pavilions, and common areas
- Empty trash and maintain cleanliness throughout camp property
- Rake leaves, sticks, and debris from outdoor spaces
- Assist with mowing lawns and basic grounds maintenance
- Help with general camp cleanup and odd jobs as assigned
- Monitor camp property for cleanliness and safety concerns
- Support setup and breakdown of camp activities or events when needed
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while working with staff and campers
Qualifications
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies
- Comfortable using basic groundskeeping equipment such as leaf blowers, rakes, and lawn mowers
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Prior maintenance, custodial, landscaping, or camp experience preferred but not required
