Position SummaryThe Facility Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and general upkeep of the clubhouse facilities and surrounding property. This position supports daily operations by ensuring the clubhouse environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for members, guests, and staff.
The Facility Groundskeeper performs daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning responsibilities, minor repairs and maintenance (R&M), and assists in preserving the overall appearance and functionality of the facility grounds and clubhouse infrastructure.
This position reports directly to the General Manager and works collaboratively alongside all facility department managers to support overall club operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Facility & Clubhouse Cleaning
Perform daily cleaning of clubhouse interior spaces, including:
• Dining areas
• Restrooms, clubhouse, and on course
• Offices
• Hallways
• Entryways
• Storage areas
• Meeting/event spaces
• Complete weekly and monthly deep-cleaning assignments.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility.
• Clean windows, doors, furniture, fixtures, and common areas.
• Pressure wash sidewalks, patios, and exterior clubhouse surfaces as needed.
Maintain the cleanliness of the clubhouse surroundings, including:
• Sidewalks
• Parking areas
• Trash areas
• Outdoor seating areas
• Landscape beds adjacent to clubhouse
• Cart staging and clubhouse entry areas
• Monitor facility appearance and proactively address cleanliness concerns.
Repairs & Maintenance (R&M)
Perform minor repair and maintenance projects, including:
• Painting touch-ups
• Light bulb replacement
• Basic plumbing repairs
• Fixture repairs
• Furniture adjustments or repairs
• Minor carpentry work
• Equipment assembly and upkeep
• Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Report major maintenance issues to management or approved vendors.
• Assist with preventative maintenance schedules.
• Grounds & Exterior Appearance
• Maintain exterior clubhouse presentation standards.
• Remove debris and maintain clean walkways and outdoor gathering areas.
• Support seasonal projects and facility enhancement initiatives.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown when needed.
• Operational Support
• Collaborate with Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, Facilities, and other department managers.
• Maintain supply inventory for cleaning and maintenance materials.
• Follow all safety standards and club operational procedures.
• Support emergency facility response efforts when necessary.
• Perform additional duties assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior facility maintenance, custodial, groundskeeping, or property maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of maintenance practices, including minor plumbing, electrical, and repair work.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and maintenance tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and cleaning tools.
• Schedule Expectations
This is a full-time position. Schedule flexibility, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings, may be required to support club operations and events.
Working Relationships
This position reports directly to the General Manager and maintains collaborative working relationships with all facility department managers to support operational excellence throughout the property.
