Yard Supervisor

A Dothan building supply store is seeking a motivated Yard Supervisor to lead warehouse operations and provide excellent customer service. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for assisting customers with order fulfillment, training team members, and maintaining an efficient yard environment. Candidates with experience in building materials or retail environments is preferred. Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support yard/warehouse employees in daily operations
• Assist customers with loading and order fulfillment
• Train and direct team members effectively
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, delivery trucks, and other yard equipment
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience in customer service or lumber/building materials environment preferred
• Knowledge of building materials and related tools
• Self-motivated with strong customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
• Regular lifting of up to 100 lbs. without assistance
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
