Ranch Worker / Property Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Ranch Worker to help maintain our ranch property and care for domesticated animals. This is a hands-on position that requires a self-starter who is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and can perform a variety of maintenance, cleaning, animal care, and handyman tasks.

The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping a property clean, organized, and operating smoothly while ensuring the health and well-being of animals.

Responsibilities:

Ranch & Property Maintenance

Mow, trim, weed, and maintain lawns, landscaping, and outdoor areas
Repair and maintain fencing, gates, irrigation systems, and ranch infrastructure
Perform general handyman tasks, including basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and repairs
Operate and maintain ranch equipment, tools, and machinery safely
Keep barns, storage areas, workshops, and grounds clean and organized

Animal Care

Feed and water horses, livestock, poultry, and other domesticated animals
Clean stalls, pens, coops, and animal living areas
Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior
Assist with routine animal handling and care as needed

Cleaning & Upkeep

Maintain cleanliness of ranch buildings, common areas, and workspaces
Remove debris, haul materials, and assist with seasonal cleanup projects
Ensure property appearance and safety standards are consistently maintained

Qualifications

Previous ranch, farm, landscaping, maintenance, or handyman experience preferred
Comfortable working around animals and performing physical labor
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors for extended periods
Experience operating tractors, mowers, trailers, or ranch equipment is a plus
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
