Position Overview: Landscape Maintenance Professional
We are searching for a dedicated individual to join our team and help maintain the beauty and safety of our properties throughout the year. As a Landscape Maintenance Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties are well-kept, safe, and welcoming for our residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Spring, Summer, and Fall Duties:
Maintain walking surfaces, roads, and parking areas using tools such as brooms, power sweepers, blowers, and pressure washers.
Care for lawn areas by operating mowers, leaf blowers, trimmers, and edgers.
Perform landscaping tasks, including planting, seeding, pruning, and repairing or installing retaining walls, fences, and borders.
Spread gravel, soil, or mulch and remove landscape debris to maintain clean and safe outdoor spaces.
Winter Duties:
Ensure all walking surfaces, steps, doorways, and parking areas are free of ice, snow, and debris using shovels, snow blowers, and ice chippers.
Apply ice melt to treat hazardous areas and routinely report hazards to your supervisor.
General Duties:
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Identify and propose improvements to landscaping and grounds.
Occasionally work beyond the standard 40-hour workweek when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid drivers license, vehicle insurance, and a clean criminal and DMV record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical ability to walk frequently, use hands for fine manipulation, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills and ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in lawn maintenance, landscaping, or janitorial work is a plus.
