We are looking to add an experienced team member who is skilled in retaining wall construction, grading, and equipment operation. This position is not an entry-level landscape labor position. We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience building segmental retaining walls, especially Versa-Lok or similar block systems.

Job Summary:
We are hiring a skilled laborer/operator to assist with Versa-Lok retaining wall projects and other landscape construction work. The ideal candidate will understand how to properly build retaining walls from start to finish, including layout, excavation, base preparation, leveling block, installing drainage gravel, installing geogrid, backfilling, compacting, and reading grades.

Responsibilities:

Build Versa-Lok and similar segmental retaining wall systems
Dig and prepare footings for retaining walls
Install and compact gravel base properly
Level base block accurately
Install wall block, pins, caps, drainage stone, fabric, and geogrid
Understand proper backfill and compaction procedures
Operate skid steer and excavator safely and efficiently
Use laser levels to check and read grades
Set and run string lines for layout and elevation control
Assist with grading, drainage, sod prep, and other landscape construction tasks as needed
Maintain tools and equipment
Work safely and efficiently as part of a crew
Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional

Requirements:

Previous retaining wall construction experience required
Versa-Lok or similar block wall experience preferred
Skid steer and excavator experience required
Ability to use laser levels and read grades
Ability to run string lines and follow layout plans
Knowledge of geogrid, drainage gravel, compaction, and proper wall installation practices
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to lift and handle heavy materials
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Must be reliable and able to show up on time
Valid driver's license preferred
Must be able to pass job-site requirements, including no felony convictions within the last 10 years
