Forklift Operator / Dock Worker / Hostler / AM

Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safelyLoad, unload, sort, and move freight throughout the dockRecord shipment shortages or damage to help minimize cargo claimsComplete shipping paperwork including bills of lading, manifests, freight counts, and hazardous material documentationRegroup and organize freight as neededPerform hostler duties, including moving trailers to dock doors or yard locations, when neededConduct pre/post-trip inspections when performing hostler dutiesMaintain dependable attendance and work various shifts based on business needsOther duties as assigned

Skills, Experience and Educational Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years oldHigh School Diploma or GED preferredPrevious warehouse, dock, or forklift experience preferredForklift experience strongly preferredHostler experience is a plus, but not requiredBasic math, measuring, and weighing skills requiredExperience using pallet jacks, dock carts, dock plates, load locks, and related equipment preferredAbility to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, dispatch, and managersLTL experience preferredBasic English proficiency (reading, writing, and verbal) required
