JOB SUMMARY

Maintaining and improving the appearance and health of indoors and outdoors areas, including lawns, gardens, and grounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but is not limited to the following)

  • During daily rounds, make sure all areas are free if trash, debris, dried leaves dead plants
  • Weeds are controlled by pulling and/or spraying with weed killer
  • Trees (excluding city trees) and bushes are trimmed back to shape and to prevent overgrowth to give clearance to surveillance cameras and aboard
  • Trim sucker from all trees, deadhead flowering plants
  • Monitor condition of plants. Replace missing, dead or destroyed plants
  • Working with irrigation timer adjust water percentage according to plant needs and weather
  • Make sure sprinkler irrigation is in working order in all stations
  • Let management know of any visible irrigation leaks or breakage, fix if able.
  • Refill ground cover rocks/barks if needed
  • Regularly hose off dusty live and artificial plants and rocks. Clean artificial plants with cleaner when needed
  • Water decomposed granite to harden and sweep to hide footprints
  • Replace missing artificial plants
  • Winterize irrigation system
  • Encourage customers to play midway games, explain game objectives, awards prizes and explain rules Exemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and vision
  • Exemplify our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culture
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Full time, 30 to 40 hours per week. Flexible morning hours
  • Ability to perform tasks of physical nature
  • Ability to work outdoors in variety of weather conditions
  • Work may be performed in confined areas, high places, around moving objects and slippery surfaces
  • Work may be subject to heat, cold wet, dry, noisy, vibration, solvents/oils, fumes/odors, dirt/dust
  • Use of power tools, electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to transport, handle and/or lift 50 Lbs.
  • Work independently with tittle direction
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Frequent contact with co-workers, guest and sometime with outside contractors
  • High school diploma preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT ( May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position)

  • Work may be performed in the outdoors or indoors, in confined areas having a 3 ft. access, in high places, around moving objects and slippery surfaces
  • May be subject to heat, cold, wet, dry, noisy, vibration, solvents/oils, fumes/odors, dirt/dust
  • May use electrical, mechanical, and flame/heat generated devices, and computer equipment
  • Frequent contact with co-workers, guests and vendors
  • Requires mobility to include seldom sitting, crawling, lifting/carrying 51-75 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs, on step stools or ladders, balancing, lifting/carrying 25-50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying 11-25 lbs.
  • Repetitive use of both hands with light and firm/strong grasping, finger dexterity, near/far visual acuity, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation and absence of color blindness

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS : Must have the ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech both speaking and reading/writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
