Porter/Groundskeeper

RichSmith Management is currently seeking a Porter/Groundskeeper for our apartment community in Hammond, LA. The Porter/Groundskeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and curb appeal of the community. Prior maintenance experience is preferred for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the community, including grounds, building exteriors, leasing office, pools, amenities, and other common areas.
• Comply with company and community operating and safety policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local laws related to community operation.
• Walk the grounds and deliver notices to all apartments as needed.
• Comply with all Fair Housing laws and regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as HVAC filter changes, storm drain and sewer clean-out, and lubricating, oiling, greasing, and checking mechanical systems.
• Assist with landscaping for the community.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience in the field, including maintenance experience (preferred).
• Willingness to deliver excellent customer service as part of the community team, providing a high-quality living environment.
