S&L Snow Removal** is seeking to fill twelve (12) temporary, full-time seasonal Groundskeeper positions for October 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026. Worksite address: 51200 Milano Dr, Ste A, Macomb, MI 48042 and client properties in Oakland, Wayne, Lapeer, and Macomb counties.
**Job Duties:** Shovel snow, grounds maintenance, such as litter cleanup and winterization of irrigation systems, and other duties as assigned related to facilities and roads maintenance, such as clearing roads and facilities of leaves, snow, or debris. Workers will not drive plow trucks. Workers will use hand tools, such as shovels and snow brooms, as well as powered hand held equipment such as walk behind electric or gas snow blowers. Potential for fall and spring leaf clean-up, dormant pruning, perennial planting, leaf removal and landscape bed mulching. De-icing and removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties, using hand tools such as snow brooms, shovels, and spreading de-icing solutions, including calcium chloride or rock salt by hand. May also use walk behind electric or gas snow blowers, as needed.
**Requirements:** No education or experience required.
**Special Requirements:** Must be able to perform physical labor outdoors for up to 8 hours per day in all weather conditions, including cold, snow and rain. Some OT and weekends required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
**Terms and conditions of employment:** $18.99 - $28.00 per hour, 35 hours/week, Overtime available at $28.49 - $42.00 per hour. Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-5:00PM. Raises and/or bonuses may be offered based on individual factors including work performance, skill, and tenure. Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Employees will be paid weekly on Friday.. On the job training available. Workers will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. Employer provides incidental transportation between worksites as necessary. No daily transportation to/from workers' home and primary worksite. Such transportation complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations. Workers will begin each day at the worksite address. They will then be transported, free of charge, to properties located throughout the area of intended employment to provide services. They will then be transported back to the worksite address at the end of each work day.
ER (employer) will make all deductions from EE's (employee) paycheck required by law & no others without consent. If needed, ER helps non-local workers secure optional worker-paid lodging. ER deducts reasonable fair market value cost of rent/utilities based on number of occupants for EE electing to reside in ER-provided housing (cost TBD up to $120 per pay period). No daily transportation to/from EE' home and primary worksite. ER to provide first set of company shirts, sweatshirts, jackets free of charge. Option to purchase additional uniform clothing which can be deducted from payroll. EE may have the option to drive a shared company vehicle home on a daily basis. If driving company vehicle any traffic violation tickets or toll road charges will be charged to EE through payroll deduction. EE responsible for purchasing gas for personal use of vehicle. EEs accrue 1 hr pd sick leave per 30 hrs worked, max 40 hrs/yr per MI Earned Sick Time Act.
The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker.
