Facility Groundskeeper - Maintenance

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Facility Groundskeeper to provide support to the Maintenance Department by assisting with facility maintenance, clean-up, painting, grounds maintenance, pressure washing and landscaping.
This posting will remain open until a qualified candidate is chosen.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED*
• One year of related experience and/or training*
• Valid driver’s license
• Availability to work home football games and post-season baseball and other sports as needed, including post-game clean-up
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
• Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating 2/4 cycle machines such as but not limited to; gas/electrical backpack blower, power washer, edger

*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of education/experience requirements
