Job Description

Summary

Landscape or maintain grounds of Casino property using hand or power tools or equipment. Grounds Keeper will perform a variety of tasks, which may include: mowing, trimming, and planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Knowledge of grounds keeping machines and tools.

Mows lawns, using power mower.

Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.

Digs holes for plants, inserts plants, and fills holes with dirt.

Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.

Rakes and bags leave's.

Cleans grounds and removes trash and debris.

Seeds and fertilizes lawn.

Maintains outside irrigation.

Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.

Waters lawn and shrubs.

Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.

Decorates garden with stones and plants.

Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears.

Makes minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, etc.

Other duties may be assigned.
