Land and Grounds Operations Manager

Spherion Staffing is looking for an experienced Land and Grounds Operations Manager who will be responsible for planning, supervising and leading the landscape team and contractors engaged in landscape preservation, restoration, construction, maintenance and management.
Duties include maintaining landscape, design features, applying fertilizers, planting, removing weeds/dead plant material and overseeing repairs as needed. The ideal candidate is creative, has excellent problem-solving skills and organizational abilities to ensure the growth of plants, train new employees, assign job duties and make design decisions.

Salary $100-120k/year DOE

Responsibilities:
-Lead all landscape and land management operations, supervising staff and contractors to deliver high-quality results
-Develop and implement seasonal maintenance schedules, including pruning, fertilizing, mulching, irrigation, pest control, and winterizing
-Oversee hardscapes, footpaths, fencing, equipment care, and snow removal
-Regularly evaluate the condition of outdoor spaces and initiate improvements or repairs
-Build and maintain strong relationships with external landscape partners, designers, and vendors
-Provide operational oversight for farm animal environments and related land use

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
-Degree in landscape architecture, horticulture, land management, or farm management
-Experience with farm management and animal care environments is preferred
-PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred

Education:
High School

4-7 years

-Strong background in project management, team leadership, and land stewardship
-Expertise in horticulture, turf care, and exterior design
-Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multi-phase outdoor projects
-Extensive on-the-job leadership experience in landscape or land operations

-Excellent communicator and team leader
-Creative, proactive problem-solver
-Results-driven with attention to detail
