Job Summary
The Hotel Restaurant / Banquet Supervisor oversees the front of house restaurant and banquet department of the hotel . The Restaurant / Banuet Supervisor is responsible forensuringlabor and quality standardsare upheld and assists with establishinga positive work environment,delivering exceptional guest service and administering policies and procedures established by the company and the hotel brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees allday-to-day operational activities of the department
Maintains personal connectionswith guests, clients and community organizations to encourageguest loyalty
Supervises restaurant and banquet team memberswith efforts relatingto recruitment, orientation, training, scheduling, performance management, counseling and other team member relations issues
Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities neededto perform any positionin the department
Assistswithmaintaining product and service quality standardsby investigatingissuesand initiating corrective action
Assists with ordering, receiving, storing andinventoryof alldepartmentrelated products
Assists with monitoring andupholding procedures for control of supplies, keys, monies and credit
Ensuresdepartmentreporting is completedpromptly and accurately
Assists in monitoring andupholding procedures for safety of guests and hotel team members
Remains current on industry trends and local market activities
Assists team members and other departments as needed to contribute to operational efficiency
Assists in maintaining cleanlinessthroughout the department
Performs a dditional responsibilities as assigned by l eadership
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handlestressful situationswith poise andprofessionalism
Strong leadership and a professional image
Conduct work-related functions in a professional manner
