Forklift Operator Job Description The candidate will work in the warehouse and yard to pull and prepare orders for shipment. The role involves operating heavy-duty forklifts, restocking parts, and maintaining cleanliness in the workspace. Additional responsibilities include prepping orders, power washing equipment, and cross-training to paint custom orders. Responsibilities Participate in morning huddles to discuss daily goals. Pull and prepare orders for shipment, including urgent orders from the sales team. Operate a heavy-duty 8-10,000 lb forklift to manage inventory. Restock parts as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse and yard. Power wash equipment using 2500 psi pressure washers. Cross-train to use a spray gun for painting custom equipment. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of forklift operation experience. Proficiency in safely loading and unloading trucks using a forklift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a yard jockey or in similar roles. Ability to perform equipment checks and ensure proper functionality. Why Work Here? Work Environment The candidate will work both in the warehouse and in open-air environments. The team consists of four people in the warehouse, with a total of 50 employees in the company. The position requires working four 10-11 hour shifts, with everyone having a different day off during the week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OILVILLE, VA.
