Description of Work

The Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension, and Education Center (ENREEC) seeks motivated individuals to fill temporary, seasonal groundskeeping positions at our location near Ithaca, Mead, Wahoo, and Ceresco, NE.

Responsibilities include:

Performing basic outdoor grounds maintenance and landscaping duties.

Full- and part-time positions available. Applications are continuously reviewed. Within the UNL system, these positions are categorized as Temporary Office/Service Hourly positions.

Temporary employees may be appointed for a period of up to two years. Temporary employees appointed for six months or less are not eligible for benefits. Those appointed for more than six months are eligible for benefits from the beginning of the appointment, provided the position is half-time (.50 FTE) or greater. Benefits for eligible temporary employees include the following: health, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Eighth grade education required.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

At least 18 years of age, due to the duties of the positions.

Valid driver's license and ability to meet University driver eligibility criteria.
