As a Crew Leader, you will oversee daily landscaping operations and lead a field crew to deliver high-quality results. This hands-on role is responsible for supervising a landscaping crew of 2-5 employees, coordinating tasks, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, takes pride in quality work, and enjoys leading teams in an outdoor, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise landscaping crew members during daily maintenance and/or installation activitiesPlan and assign daily tasks to ensure productivity, quality, and safetyPerform landscaping work including mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, pruning, and clean-up as neededEnsure all work is completed according to company standards and client expectationsConduct daily safety briefings and enforce company safety policiesOperate and oversee use of landscaping equipment and toolsInspect equipment and vehicles and report maintenance needsCommunicate job progress, issues, and material needs with supervisors or account managersMaintain accurate time tracking, job documentation, and site reportsRepresent the company professionally when interacting with clients and property stakeholdersUnderstanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectations.Managing multiple services that can include any of the following: spray operations, fertilization, maintenance production, tree care, and irrigationPlanning, organizing and managing work for crew members at each client site locationConducting safety, equipment and timekeeping training
Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent2-3 years of landscaping or grounds maintenance experiencePrior experience leading or supervising a crewStrong knowledge of landscaping techniques, equipment, and safety practicesAbility to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditionsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsValid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass an MVR checkAbility to perform physical work in all weather conditionsReliable transportation
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in commercial landscaping, HOAs, or large property maintenanceBilingual (English/Spanish) communication skillsExperience training and mentoring crew membersAbility to read site plans, work orders, or schedulesBasic knowledge of irrigation systems or landscape enhancementsExperience operating commercial landscaping equipmentInterest in career growth into operations management or account management roles
