Flower Technician (Landscaping)

  • Snohomish, Washington
  • Full Time

The Flower Technician at The Northwest Gardener maintains the flowers at all our properties, our office, and in our greenhouse. This includes things like watering by hand, grooming and shaping plants, deadheading flowers, fertilizing, treating for pests, occasionally replanting or replacing things, and helping with installing new flowers. Maintaining flowers involves gathering the needed materials for the day, driving from property to property, managing ones time well, and working alone frequently. An ideal employee will have high attention to detail, an eye for aesthetics, and the ability to assess all the work that could be done and in that, prioritize what matters most. You should work well without direct oversight, and communicate openly with the manager about such things as issues that arise, possible improvements, additional help needed, and possible extra work the company could do.

We are looking for someone who will take personal responsibility for our properties appearance, cares about the aesthetics of their work, and wants to grow in what they know and can do. That includes learning more about the technical how-to of flower care and growing in the responsibility they have as we grow as a company.
